Ayleen R. Peterson, DDS
Dr. Ayleen Peterson is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with specialized training in dental surgery, dental implants, extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, facial trauma, and reconstructive (Orthognathic) surgery. Dr. Peterson also has special training in IV sedation and anesthesia and possess a General Anesthesia Permit from the Dental Board of California.
Dr. Peterson completed all of her training in California. She earned her undergraduate degree (molecular and cell/cellular biology) at UC Berkeley, her dental degree at UCLA and completed residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University. Having grown up in the San Fernando Valley, and being a proud graduate of El Camino Real High School, it’s no wonder why Dr. Peterson loves treating SF Valley patients.
Dr. Peterson prides herself in the highest quality of patient care. She is a staff physician at the Northridge Hospital Medical Center and is published on a wide variety of topics, including mandibular trauma, facial reconstruction and dental implants.
Dr. Peterson also has a passion for education. She is an associate lecturer at the UCLA School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and enjoys teaching the dental students and residents at her Alma Mater. Outside of UCLA, Dr. Peterson has lectured extensively to general dentists and oral surgeons as part of the Woodland Hills Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery study club and at conferences such as AAOMS, CALAOMS, SCOA, and SCAOP.
When she’s away from the office, Dr. Peterson enjoys hiking and swimming with her husband in beautiful Southern California.
